Gas consumption ?

i really plan on running my stuff into the ground or till the value is so little its trivial. I most often times buy used and when im done with it i can usually get what i paid , more or only loose several hundred for my time. So thats why i never thought of that. You are right though, look at deisel pickups, cant find a good cummins late 90's 2500 for less than 10K now, you can find gassers all day long for 7K or less.

Right you are a 10 year old gas murry is probably worth running in top condition no more than $300??

hey hi folks,actually my frnds have a 20HP Kawasaki gasser in a JD425 uses about 1 gallon per hour at full throttle.........
it maybe a little less depending on moiture level.......

Gas mowers take more than twice the fuel for the same HP. I doubt I could push 1 gal/hr through my Kubota BX2230. It uses maybe 1/2 gal on hour. Amazes me -- I can mow 4 acres on approx 1 to 1.5 gallons.
