I would agree that it seems like too good of a deal but the listed phone# has a 218 area code (Minnesota).

Just for kicks, I did a reverse phone number look-up. The number comes back to Brainerd per the ad. This could be the real deal.

Great ad - the price is not out of line either way - Erskine front blowers for skid-steers often sell in the $2500-$3500 range. Their drive is hydraulic so there's less pto machinery. Also this one is a few years old - painted with machinery yellow, now considered evil paint.

On the neighbor beating him to it, I can see how that happens. I clear my closest 7 neighbors' places. I do some of them for cover so I can do the ones who can really use the help and not appear to be singling anybody out.

I don't think any of them has an Erskine hiding in the garage

I don't think it is a scam. The price looks to be reasonable based on what I have seen on CL locally. Now whether or not the story is true or just good salesmanship, I have no idea... I haven't called him and don't intend to, just found it amusing.
