Full Paint Job

Almost finished now. The main maintenance items have been complete & I've been touching up the bad spots with primer & paint.
Its parked outside now & when I get a warm day I'll put the canopy back on & take some final photos.

I'm done. Here's the finished paint job.

There was some earlier discussion about 5 ft. & 10 ft. paint jobs. I used a brush & roller for all the painting - mostly touchups. I call it a 20 ft., candlelight, 20/100, paint job - best viewed from 20 ft in dim light without your glasses.

At least all the metal is protected.

The pictures look good. I looks like a professional job. You are probably the only one who is really going to look at it up close, and as you said, at least the metal is protected.

Kubota Orange from Carquest (their part no CFP 4707-GL). $45 / gallon. Good match. I started using rust oxide colour primer but found coverage was much better over grey primer.

Kubota uses a light tannish color primer. So you were wise to switch to a lighter color. Kubota doesn't use light primer to lighten their color, they do it for easier coverage with less paint.

Not time consuming - all decals are original. I just painted around them.

Have you figured out where to put a tool box on this tractor yet? After many weeks of thinking about it, I have a plan but it won't work with a backhoe. Not a problem on mine.

I haven't really thought about a tool box but it sure would be useful. I expect the backhoe will be on most of the time. Anybody have a suggestion?

I thought I would give the machine a try at home before its one way trip to the cottage. I cut a cedar bush down last year leaving the roots. Last fall I bought a thumb & finger from Brotek. I haven't used the thumb yet but this gave me a chance to give that root the finger.
