Fuel filter for 863

No change with the filters out.

Just before the fuel filter is another "part". I removed the cover and found a round metal screen. It was covered in black, gooey junk. I cleaned it off, screwed the cover back on and the Bobcat is running great

Is that some sort of prefilter?

It must be, but it is not factory.

Sorry I didn't think the "part" he was talking about was the lift pump. The way I read it was that it was an aftermarket filter he was disassembling. The lift pump is after the filter.
