Front tire sealant

30mph is plenty fast on a tractor too!

Drawn to sweets, a weeping, seeping "self plug" might draw all sorts of unwanted critters.
I do have chipmunks near my tractor lean-to, but not once have I seen the little critters licking the tires.
😄

Keep in mind that using sealant in tires on regular road going vehicles affects the balance.
This is a good point to keep in mind. However, finding my Power Wagon in the parking lot with one of its big meats flat tends to affect the balance, too - so I went the lesser of two evils. BTW, I stopped doing this years ago lest my friend and mechanic Ed wants to kill me...

I doubt that a liquid or semi liquid small amount of fluid in a tire will effect the balanceing as it would quickly spread out into a thin film fairly evenly distributed within the tire.
It could be an interesting puzzle in my pickup which doesn't have any balance weights on them instead it has the balance beads in the tire.

A liquid would act much like balancing beads, I'd imagine. And those beads really only work well in narrow tires that are 40 inches tall or better. That's one reason the ads tend to show tractor trailers, not cars or pickups.

Full disclaimer: I am definitely not a fan of balancing beads, having had dismal results with them in wider and shorter tires. Besides, my back is still mad at me after removing balancing beads from 15 trailer tires so I could balance them properly.

For those who are opposed to using normal wheel weights, CentraMatic is a much better option.

These tires were my first experience with balancing beads, they are in a 265/70R18 tire and actually seem to be working fairly well.
The shop that mounted my "new" (new Michelin takeoffs almost zero miles, 4 tires for $500) used tires last spring preferred them over spin balancing.

I can definitely see why a tire store would prefer the beads. It's much quicker to throw a bag into a tire than to balance it.

Of course, the next store will hate it, especially if they don't know there are beads in the tire and spend much time trying to balance the tire, only to get different results every time they spin it.

I had been using slime, and it worked.
But now I want to try something else.

Sounded good - BUT WHERE TO BUY??
Spent a few minutes searching the web, found testimonials, specs, etc. but missed where to buy.
And how much to use on a front 23x8.5x12 (turf)?
Gemplers has all three grades of tire sealants;

Let me rephrase that:
Where to buy PermaShield?
And I'm only looking to do 1 front tire and the Tireject comes in what looks like single serving size.
