From mow to snow.

I would say that depends a lot on your individual conditions. Really nice pavement, no packed snow or ice, scraping the pavement completely clean
it could be.
Heavy wet snow, snow that has been driven on, uneven and potholed roads and then start throwing in unpaved roads and hills those chains become very productive and safe.

Bingo, which is why I stated cleared paved surfaces.

B1750 would not pull car into barn with chains installed and on concrete surface. Parked the tractor and pushed it in by hand.

On can do serious damage to asphalt (even concrete) with chains.

I use HD 2 link twist ladder chains which cause little damage assuminig common sense.

V-bar and other aggressive chain types can do real damage in short order.

I run the studded Euro style tire chains on a heavy tractor and I see no pavement damage,
I also do not spin my chained up tires on clean pavement. If I was spinning and chewing on pavement
I'm sure I would see some damage.

How about mow in snow!

This was yesterday, I ran out of daylight and the fuel light came on. I'll finish it this morning. It's a paying job that I'm just getting to.

I'm done mowing for the year. I love it for a while, but it becomes a chore half way through summer.

Today I converted the BX2680 to a snow warrior.
Dropped the mower, put on the chains, wheel weights, rops, and the plow.

This too will become a chore sooner than later.
