Free Picture Resizing Software for Windows XP

I thought I would post this since there are several people that have asked in the past about software for resizing photos for posting.

One of the Powertoys programs from Microsoft for XP makes this very simple. When you install it you can just right click on any picture file and resize the picture. Very simple.

Thanks for the Powertoys site. That looks like it has many tools that wil come in handy.

There is another powertoy that is new called Synctoy that will allow you to synchronize folders on your hard drive.

I use it to automatically backup the data on my hard drive to one of the other computers in the house so that when this drive crashes I won't be so upset.

There are seveal useful utilities there.

Power Toys is pretty neat. I've used Tweakui since the Windows 95 days. It's got some nice features.

For those of you using laptops, Cleartype is pretty handy. This one allows you to adjust the sharpness of text on an LCD monitor. Newer desktop LCD monitors are pretty clear, but to me, laptops aren't too clear.

There are other new programs that are part of the Power Toys...I've just named my favorites.

As far as resizing...the Windows toy is neat, but I prefer another free download: Irfanview.
