first time painting - should I grind off the thin surface rust or just apply rust converter?

But I will call then on it when the give the look straight in the eye and try to answer in that dismissive way with something dont even make sense.
We are graduating so many new educated people that are now the entitled class, cant make new car payments cause of their student debt, somehow it's someone else's fault, the new entitled class. BLM
Reason I pick on this thread it's a micro of this problem. I ask a simple question. Why are my projects not rusting I'd this is so critical and a guy answers with a link about exotic alloy, must have not even bothered to read to see if its relevant then the next knob gives big kudos for nothing, oh. He nailed the explanation, didnt say s single fukkin word.
We got member of the month. We should have bullshitter of the month.

I am the first to admit I dont know anything. Every engineer knows more than I do. But I have a long history of doing equipment paint jobs, hundreds of them. Have also actually opened the code book on electric despite not knowing anything about electricity, pass real inspection. Only know the rudimentary points of welding steel. If it was left up to me we would still be walking, dont have the ability of engineers to do their job and am still trying to master the adjustable wrench.

Yes. It was meant to be, I am easily side tracked. On the technical end, on the science some of these guys know more about it than I ever will.

It's the implication that despite doing g this sussefully hundred of times we not doing it right because we didnt read something someone googleclick on they didnt even read. Even the first paragraph the author explains where it might apply and it wasn't the routine painting of a farm implement.

Sherry:
Did you realize that your painting successful painting endevors might be the result of the metal and paint compositions that all those google licks have provided for you.

They might be, I been doing it a decade before Google was invented
I ain't saying that is all bad but should be kept in perspective. What happens is we add a level of confusion to start. The science of important but a guy never used a paint gun on an implement is another matter. Sending him in search of a theoretical perfect world or even expensive goose chase.
Maybe more than that cause it happens with drilling holes is the nature of a good share of forum answers. Someone asking s how yo question should know ,,, that none of that, and especially a link a guy must not have even read means a pinch of ****. Millions of bolts been loosened without Kroil and most of the worlds equipment is painted without phospho.

I like to use abrasive pad wheels on my grinder for surface rust as yours. Wipe with thinner, etc. . I like to use a red primer also.
People have their own likings that have worked for them.
