Several months ago, I remember reading a post on here where someone found a set of dollies or wheels that you could put a finish mower on sideways to store it. I searched but couldn't find the post. Does anyone remember what the company was that sold them? or remember the post it was in?

I have been using the MowerAxles for 2 season's now, they are FANTASTIC! You will get a high quality product from Larry, and he is great to do business with.

Im going to ask a most ignorant question... Why does an axle and two wheels have to cost $100.. I have got to be missing something important, because i cant imagine why the cost would be so much..

Someone please educate me on why

thanks

Because of the labor involved in turning down the ends of a 1" or larger shaft so they fit in the wheels. That and the holes for the pin to keep the shaft from moving and the keeper holes for the pins at the wheels.
That's just a guess of course :D

I thought the same thing Brian till I received mine..First, it's 2 axles and 4 wheels, Second, the axles are turned to a specific diameter to fit the decks-it not just stock round bar. Third, As the Inspector says, the ends need to be turned down and at least 3 holes in each axle is cross-drilled. Fourth, the axles are finished with a rust/corrosion resistant zinc chromate
coating. And fifth, he has done the footwork to make sure the deck remains balanced and stable while in the upright position, and also includes a chain to secure it to a wall as a safety precaution.

He makes a good product!

What I do not like about this gadget is that removal of a component is required.

I guess your talking about the anti-scalp wheels? If so, it takes less then one minute on my deck, not sure about other brands...I just don't see that as an issue:confused:

Point well taken by me. I'm over-**** most of the time.

Thanks for the insight of the product. If only all suppliers were as informative as your comments on this particular product. Always good to get first-hand feedback.

:tiphat:

Here's a set that I made for my mower. I think I have about $20 in the set and maybe 1 hour of labor.
