Finally getting a BX25D

/ Finally getting a BX25D #61
Thanks guys. Appreciate the info. It was Chappel that gave me the almost list price and I haven't talked to MB Tractor yet.

Lets us know what MB quotes, as that's where I'm thinking of going. I live in Maine and will go to NH to purchase if the price is right!
After watching a bunch of videos of the BX25D working, I'm starting to lean back towards that machine instead of the B2620. I've "discovered" soooo many jobs I could use that BH on! :licking:

I have really put my BX 25 through the wringer, over 1K hours and no problems. Yes Tom, the BH was a real tool for me. I have it on at least a third of the time. When not digging it is used as a movable counter weight when working on hill sides, always have the BH swung to the uphill side, saved my bacon a few times.

Oh......and I also want to get the QA grapple......how much is this skid plate you guys are talking about and is it to protect a fan under the middle of the BX?

I'll just throw this out there for what it's worth...I just picked up an 06 B3030 TBL with only 242 hours from a guy here in MA. He bought it new at MB in NH and had all his original documentation and said they had the best price in the area and were great to deal with.

yes if you are traveling over rough terrain, sticks, branches, etc. install a skid plate. I went with BroTek mid and rear. Very happy with it! You can also check out BXpanded as well.

I've got the Bxpanded Under Armor on my BX2660, and I have the Bro-Tek on my BX23 (because BXPanded didn't make one for the BX23 at the time, although they do now). I like the Bxpanded version better, and it was much easier to install. It went on in about 10 minutes.

Do you need 2 separate plates....and how much?....I want a grapple bucket, so maybe I could possibly be in situations where I would need the extra protection

I have the two-piece BroTek as well. It is very heavy duty, and was not that hard to install, really. I think the two pieces are so that you can drop one down to easily access the oil pan drain plug.

I don't mind the two piece design and I like the full coverage it provides. Maintenance can take a little longer but the belly and especially HST fan protection is pretty much a must.
