Favorite summer drink?

I can tell you whats Not my favorite list, I just try drinking a glass of plum & blackberry juice, yeeeeuck! the wifes on on a health kick, she drinks a glass of orange juice every day, and ask that I do the same although OJ gives me heartburn, I think I'll stick with my Maxhouse in the morning and (Fresca) when I'm thursty

Try the low acid OJ, worked for me.

Drinking water, OJ, lemonade, iced tea or whatever while working in the heat is more of a necessity than anything. None I would call a "favorite summer drink".
That is reserved for when I'm done working for the day and can sit on the deck and relax.
Usually I'll go for a Malibu and pineapple juice, or Mount Gay rum mixed with Tropicana Tropics Orange/Strawberry/Banana and a lot of ice.

If I get ambitious, I'll make a "Fiddler on the Roof"
Rum, ice, pina colada mix, Bailey's Irish cream, 1 banana, grenadine, fruit juice, in a blender. Anyone who's been to Barbados should know that one. :licking:

Water... followed by a big glass filled with ice, half water and half Goslings Black Seal Black Rum. And when I feel "eire" I add a bit of ginger beer = dark & stormy! Mon!

As long as I'm not working with power tools - Ice Cold Beer. Hard to believe out of 25 posts - if counted correctly only two others for Beer.

If working with anything that actually requires some degree of mental alertness - cold Coke / Pepsi or Ice Water.

That reminds me... my dad used to drink a glass of prune juice every morning. One time when I was very little I tasted it and YUCK was it bad!!! :shocked: I asked him why he drank that stuff? He said "It keeps me regular." I said "Regular what?" and made a sour face. :laughing:

Very few people like the taste of beer when they first try it. Very few. It is an acquired taste gained through peer pressure or sheer determination. :thumbsup:

Once you acquire a taste for it, though, it is very tasty indeed. However, I find that beer can never quench my thirst. It can only increase my desire for more. So, I can have one or two with a meal, but if I have 3 or 4 I am going to have 10 or 12, then be a #$%!%^! moron, which isn't a good thing for the kids to see. :laughing: Now if you give me frozen margaritas, chips and salsa, I can drink a big mug of that, eat the chips and salsa and be satisfied.
