I ran across a SEC litigation release dated dec 22,2008 where Fiat/Case-New Holland Global got caught paying ****** Hussien's agents kickbacks in the Oil For Food scheme. Yes the same thing that Textron was involved in.so the big T is not the only one with dirty little secrets. it just proves that these guys will do anything for money, even if it hurts their country or their dealers.so dealers of all brands best be aware that when things get tight for these guys, you are expendable in their veiw, they will hang you out to dry.
once they get you to trust their word and sign on the dotted line, they have you where they want you.you in effect become their customer, you have bought yourself some tractors and if you are unable to sell them, well thats too bad, maybe you can take up farming or grass cutting, but you can bet they expect YOU to pay the bill and will go to any lengths to see that you do.
The big companies are able to do this ONLY because so many dealers refuse to join together and demand a level playing field.they will tell you they have the right to do this because they are putting up all the money. I say that your facilities and your customer base that you have taken years to develope is more than your fair share of the pot. Things are just too unstable in this world now for dealers to be taking all the risk .Dealers of all brands need to start talking to each other about the issues we all have to contend with.
Taxpayer
Hey Taxpayer et al,

Tax:
Is this
the article you're referring to?
Fiat, eh? Aren't they the same guys that Chrysler CEO Robert Nardelli is trying to
convince a New York bankruptcy court offer the ramshackled Detroit auto firm its best hopes for a turnaround?
Sounds like another green handshake(s) deal -- none of which goes to [or helps] Joe working citizen.
Yes, RNF... what's a swanny dive into a few Dempsey dumpsters full of Benjamins among a few mutual crooks, errrrrrrr friends.

Retailers, the Tax-man is dead on: United you'll stand but divided you're certain to fall. It is IMPERATIVE that Retailers unite and denounce the heaping of inequitable risk the one-sided contracts of financial firms and manufacturers.
The contracts I've read in court documents seem to read like this: all the risk, blood, sweat and tears for the dealers ... then the financiers and manufacturers run behind and scoop up the bulk of the cash -- and dealers are supposed to *feel ingratiated* for their opportunity to *maybe* get a comparative few crumbs at the end [if all goes well].
Riddle me this:
-- Without Dealerships, how would manufacturers sell their items to the general public?
-- Where would Joe Citizen the Customer learn about what product(s) she/he needs, get a "custom fit" of those and a test drive? Certainly not on the Internet!
-- Where would Joe Citizen the Customer have their product serviced/maintenance and related parts?
-- Who insures them?
-- Who cleans and gases 'em up?
Answer:
Your Dealership.
The Farmtrac dealers I've spoken have tremendous integrity; they care about their Customers needs, take ferocious pride serving them well and in maintaining their shop's good name.
FNA dealers across the country have eaten hundreds of thousands -- if not millions -- of dollars in parts and labor costs to meet Customer needs, even after FNA headquarters, Escorts and LS Cable bailed. And although Escorts failed on its 2008 promise for parts and LS had failed on its early 2009 promise to return to covering some units -- as promised in dealer recruitment meetings -- retailers continue to hold up their end.
And they should be properly compensated for it; now and in the future.
Dealer solidarity that requires manufacturers and financiers to equitably distribute risk and compensation is critical to dealer's survival.
One would hope the devestation caused by the wretched actions of FNA and TEXT*ON FINANCIAL plus their lopsided contracts would be enough to motivate Dealers to...
- unite,
- and don't get fooled again.
