Loader Exhaust soot on loader

For a little machine I bought for cutting grass, I'm having a hoot of a time with my loader and rear blade, at home, at neighbors, at my camp, over at the church grounds. Next I'm eying up the old cemetary down the road, it needs it's gravel roads cleaned up, once I get permission. Can't imagaine they would not let this old dog play. I sure don't let myself suffer from lack of seat time. I think the old Harley is getting lonely, I have not paid it much attention since the 'bota came to town, LOL.

I greased my BX25 a few days ago. Looked at the soot on loader....thought about trying to wipe it off....decided it was to hot out......maybe later.

me 1 bx24 looks like crap, simple green kinda works but STILL looking for something that works good

ZEP Industrial Purple available at Home Depot. Use full strength but don't let it on for more than about 2 minutes. It will take the paint off if left on too long.

Simple Green takes that soot right off.

I fit a 1-1/4 inch 45 degree copper elbow onto the end of the pipe and pointed it downward, away from the loader arm and bucket. The soot problem is gone but the exhaust does kick up more dust and dirt if the conditions are dry.

Any chance of setting dry grass on fire from prolonged engine run while tractor sits in one spot ?

I suppose it's possible - it's very dry around here. I heard a news story a few days ago about a field that caught fire while a farmer was harvesting. The story didn't say what actually started the fire - just that it was tractor related.
