Exhaust bearing in action. I'm thinking of getting one of these for my Kubota.

Kind of required equipment when you have a foot plot or working in the woods.

Knew of a guy working in a large printing company. When he was new, he was sent to the ink room to get a bucket of purple steam. He promptly took off across the plant leaving his co-workers doing his job of stacking magazine copy. After about an hour someone went to retrieve him. He was sitting in the break room reading a news paper. :D

...........Then you are done buying anything new that's diesel powered.

Just keep on running that junk..............:D

Yep. (at least until they realize there's a better way)

I plan on it. Along with the three tractors in my sig, I have the '95 Kenworth, with a pre-emssion CAT engine; a '97 F-250 and a '03 F-350; (both trucks have the good 'ol 7.3L) I don't intend on getting rid of any of them and I'll patch them till they can't be patched any longer. By then, I should be in the nursing home or dead.

NOW, let's get back to the original discussion. :D

One more thing to remember, when installing new exhaust bearings, you need to be sure and lubricate them with the special high-temperature Unobtanium grease. ;)

Where can i get some Head light Fluid? Tractors almost out.
Just seen the post on the Tail Gunner Exhaust, have a great idea! Soon i have to relube the muffler and exhaust deflector bearings. I think it would be a good time to add the Tail gunner exhaust seeing everything is apart. Might use it as a automatic high velocity "tree shear" what do yall think? :confused2:

More Navy stuff to look for. Prop wash and mail buoys. We had a guy out on the bow looking for the mail buoy for 6 hours so nobody would lose their mail. We finally went up and told him there wasn't anything and that the mail came in by helo.

At one time exhaust fluid would have been a joke also

I wonder if an exhaust bearing lets the smoke roll out more freely allowing the exhaust pipe to last longer while charging the customer yet more moronic wasted $$$$

And don't forget the "flasher fluid"!!!! LOL!!!!

When we were approaching the equator, the Shellbacks ordered some Pollywogs to set an Equator Watch. They made phony binoculars from two conical DC plugs with two six inch by one inch iron garbage weights on the front as lenses with which to look out for the line.

None of the Shellbacks' ideas for torturing the Pollywogs worked out so well. Out of an eighty man crew, there were only eight Shellbacks. The Pollywogs took over the boat and stole all the stuff they made, including the garbage and garbage chute. The ship's manacles, all hair cutting equipment, and their phony 16 pound binoculars disappeared too. I can't say how much it helped that the skipper was a Pollywog. Nobody wanted to show up in New Zealand without their hair.

We let them have their ceremony. Kissing the Royal Baby's belly was about the worst thing that happened to us. Walking the plank on the equator is a complete joy.

More than one new phone technician has been sent back to the Central Office for a bucket of "dial tone"

One spring when we were shifting to daylight savings time, I had an apprentice convinced we would have to come in to work Sunday morning to adjust all the photocells on the plant lights for the "extra" hour of daylight!:laughing:

Any ship guys ever been asked to grease the relative bearings?

/ Exhaust Bearings #35
Anyone can tell that is a gag. It's keeping the true bearings greased that matters.

For those of you with a nice cab you can sit in you may need to replace the windshield wiper clutch one day.

A young woman that I worked with returned from a romantic weekend in Canada with her husband. I told her that she needed to make sure that she exchanged any Canadian money back into US currency soon, because Canadian money expires!!:laughing::laughing: The next day she called me every name in the book because she had went home and told her husband that too!!:laughing::laughing:

"Go get a coil of Flight Line". For the Marine Wingwipers.
"Go outside and watch for the blue cold front to go over" A blue line designates a Cold Front on a weather map.

In the army it was sending the privates to supply for a prick e-8. They would goto supply, the e-5 (sergeant) would send him to a staff sergeant (e-6), who would send him to a sergeant first class (e-7), who would send him to the first sergeant or master sergeant (e-8's), and get the response yelled in their face, "YOU FOUND ONE! NOW EHAT DO YOU WANT!?!?!"
