Purchased this last night for mowing chores.

This thing is a beast, heavy gauge steel everywhere, Dana rear end, plenty of torque ( just wait till I install the secondary transmission) strong enough hydraulics

My l2501 is garbage compared to how this thing was built.

One wheel is flopping

I figured just needed adjustment on bearing but by the time the nut is turned in far enough to take slop out the cotter pin doesn’t engage the cutouts on nut.

The other side is not nearly as bad yet but is going to be an issue

According to parts manual I’m not missing anything?

A big washer in front of nut and behind the bearing would probably fix the problem but I’d like to know what’s causing the issue.

Bearing rolls smooth.

Tractor was poorly restored years ago

Deck is in fantastic condition

48 inch cut

More h.p than my kubota B6100

Needs some love and I’m just the guy to give it

Losen the bearings, and check the two #25 nuts to make sure the shaft is actually pulled into place. And double check that the bushing #26 is in place. Not shown on the drawing, but necessary are the two bearing races which should be driven into the wheel hub #39. The cone should go in.

That is a find. Hydraulics, hitch, pretty good condition.
Congrats
