I would suggest if you don't like EA's delivery time then don't buy their product. I'm sure their company will still have a backlog of customers that are eager to use their product.

The advantage of paying now and waiting is as EA states:



I literally saved $500 by paying in March of this year when I ordered instead waiting.

This post is.......interesting. Had EA delivered your product upon receipt of the funds, then whatever you think you saved would be a moot point. An absurdity.

As to not buying their product? That is always a consideration. When someone comes out with a similar product for the same money and can deliver it on time, then EA will be quickly forgotten and swept into the dustbin of the history of good ideas that couldn't deliver the goods.

What do they say in football? Your most important ability is AVAILability?

In EA's defense, it isn't just the lack of materials, it's the lack of workers. As in, nobody wants to. So yeah, they're in a tough spot; one not of their own making.

So I understand their problems but I'm not going to make excuses for them. I am also not going to let somebody sit on hundreds or thousands of my dollars interest-free for Months at a time. Especially when the only guarantee against them suddenly filing bankruptcy and the owners heading to Switzerland is an aw-shucks and a wink. I'm looking to buy a tooth bar because I want one. Right now. Not in 4 months or 2 months or whatever.

Point being, EA needs to get their act together. No excuses. I don't want to hear it. When they can take my money and ship within a day or two..... Maybe then. Until that time, I'll look for alternatives.

Again, I understand frustrations, and we're doing what we can to push orders out, without settling for a lesser material, lesser design, or lesser customer service.

@EverythingAttachments. Don't want y'all to give away any trade secrets, but any thoughts on building or buying a factory a bit further west? I could see a benefit to you buying a struggling manufacturer maybe in Kansas or Nebraska. It wouldn't fix the short term supply problems, but it would increase production and enable cheaper shipping to big markets like Texas...

The issue is getting the materials/steel. They have increased production capacity but it only helps when the steel is delivered to them. When the steel arrives they cut and weld up hundred's of order's at a time.

Actually I think the overriding issue is communication.
People know up-front it's going to be 12, 16 weeks.
It's when it gets to 16 weeks and only then do they find out it's going to be another 12.
That's why I think they should update their customers monthly, to let them know if the schedule is slipping.
Then the customer can decide if it's still worth waiting for - and I think most everyone here can agree that yes, it's worth waiting for - people aren't upset at the quality, they're upset at sudden news that what they thought was coming in July isn't actually getting delivered next week but instead in September. Forgive them for wondering if it's not going to be January, given the lack of updates!

I'm not sure what "act" they need to get together as you stated their lead times are not of their own making. Obviously we customers are all going in on this with eyes wide open knowing the long lead times. Why are you so surprised?

If you can find a superior product that you can get within a week I say go for it. Just let everyone else know on the forum because I haven't found one yet.

I’ll wait patiently for my grapple to arrive but I should not have to call you or email you to learn that you have systemic problems and my order will be delayed. Particularly after I’ve waited, without bothering you about it, until past the “or so” quote you provided.

It’s your job to keep customers informed of extraordinary circumstances - I have done it almost every working day in the last 3+ months.

Putting regular updates on your website seems reasonable to me.

Which is 100% why I said it will not solve the short term problems. Once the national issues relating to steel availability and employment are corrected, EA will likely still have a lot of demand and a lot of us live west of Arkansas.

The problem is one related to national policy, not company logistics. I don't blame EA at all.

My question is still valid, purchasing or building a facility closer to the center of the country would help them capacity-wise and help us Cost- wise.
