Engine rebuild or troubleshooting advice

/ Engine rebuild or troubleshooting advice #11
I wouldn't just assume the worst.

No offense, but why not hire a mechanic to look at it?

There were alot off suggestions in the other thread.

Did you ever check/change air filter?
Did you ever check lift pump?
Was the radiator flowing good or just plugged up?
Compression test?

There are many many things I can think to check out before I start tearing apart an engine on A whim.

Hite a mechanic, or take tractor to one, cause it sounds like this is beyond you.

If the tractor starts well under normal conditions it indicates the compression is good.

Don't get to ambitious till the radiator is fixed and its determined the cooling system is working properly.
