Electricity Price Increases

In the early days of nuclear, they were talking about electricity that was too cheap to meter.
My father built a house in the 50s with no insulation in the roof. It was just tongue and groove planks with plywood, tarpaper and gravel. I asked why no insulation. He said that back then, natural gas was darn near free. Fast forward to the 70s and 80s and he added insulation as gas bills went to $300 a month. Can't imagine what it would be now, 50 years later.

Seems like a lot of advertising embedded in this article, which seems to be written by Captain Obvious :)
I think it is basically an ad. The "MIT professor" quote is neither startling nor relevant to article.

I'm not sure why people don't apply a little common sense. "Renewables have come way down on cost and are cheaper than fossil fuels" but "loss of subsidies will stop solar and wind development." Anybody see a contradiction there?

Yep… but it is typical of what pops up seemingly oddly connected to my TBN posts.

How can I tap in to Nevada’s less expensive power?
