Electric-Hydraulic Loader Issue

Kubota L3830 with LA723 and a Bobcat 68’ Combo Bucket.

The 3way bucket control is a button on the loader joystick. Press the button on the end of the joystick and the bucket opens or closes. The button is hot wired so it works with the switch on or off. When it is working and the engine off you can hear all four valves click. But now it is intermittent. Local dealer has no idea what collection of parts were used to make it.

Looks like kind of a put together from parts rather than a kit. It is a simple spring loaded button at the end of a rubber grip that is on a piece of tubing cut to fit and has a screw securing it to the joy stick. A piece of what looks like fuel hose that was carved to give room for the wiring makes me think it was put together than a kit. So I think I need a new push button and a suggestion on how to replace the button. I am guessing I need to disconnect the wires at the loader control mount…if there are connections there. Some pics of the handle, hydraulic valves (spools?) and wiring. Thanks for any help.

Disconnect the battery cable as this thing is wired hot from somewhere. Remove the exposed nut on the button. Remove the button and cover from the joystick control. The button should stay more or less in place while you pull the sleeve off. You can then disconnect the wires from the button and install a new one. You then need only fish the new assembly into the mounting location.

The Kubota dealer, where we purchased the tractor 18 years ago, does not have any information on our purchase because of a computer upgrade. They say that the only switch (?) they can get has two buttons, where the one on this unit obviously has only one. We are trying to find the correct replacement part. Honestly, every time we need anything for this tractor, it is a big damn deal and very annoying. It sounds as if you have replaced this…do you have a supplier that we might be able to contact? A question for you, were is the electrical valve plumbed into?
And, how was it operated? While the button is pressed do you operate the joy stick to curl or dump to open or close the bucket.
I'm thinking that you have a diverter valve which is only activated while the button is held and reverts to the original function when released.
A diverter valve is only on/off, while a third function would use two buttons one to open and the other to close.

A diverter would be a Normally open switch with a momentary operation.
