have a Ranch Rite DM-135 Drum Mower, like it a lot, does a great job of cutting, but it cuts the field way too short. They say to let the bottom of the drum ride on the ground and that cuts about 1" off the ground. If I raise it up a bit it's almost impossible to get both cutting drums even. Wondering how anyone else uses these. I was thinking of making something that would have a wheel on the outside end that would carry the weight, but there really isn't any solid metal besides the center part of the cutter.
