Does anyone have a low-temperature alarm in their barn?

Does anyone have a low temperature monitor in their barn that rings in the house if the temp falls too low? I just insulated a barn and need something to notify if it drops below a certain level, maybe 40 degrees.

Look at amazon, product called yolink

They have huge range and will alert your phone, email or an alarm.

You need at least 1 hub and you connect hundreds of devices to it. I also use mine to turn on tractor heat in winter

We use a couple of Temp Stick Remote WiFi Temperature & Humidity Sensors in the house we close for the winter. It has the ability to configure high and low temperature alarms that will alert via a text or email.

What I bought and use, the package I got comes with three sensors and the base.

I have one in the lower portion and one upper (3rd one I have not used yet).
This way I can set a lower alarm (had a burst pipe last year due to the heater shutting down).
I can also compare downstairs to upstairs to make sure heat/cool settings are not too far off.

I have a set of temperature and humidity sensor tied into a networked weather station. Brand is La Cross.

Pushes alerts for low temperatures. I have sensors at the front, rear and middle of my shop since my mini split is at the rear of the shop and there can be quite a differential between front and rear ([emoji6]x garage door at front certainly doesn’t help with the differential!!).

Like i said, the yolink devices from amazon will work. My building is about 500’ from the hub, never disconnects.

This is what I'm thinking of. One pack with hub. My barn is 30 ft from the house but is a metal pole barn and I presume that's no problem. Does this below look suitable for telling if the temp starts to get to maybe 40 degrees?

You can set whatever levels you want to be alerted to. But this link didnt have a hub.

Underneath it does show the item with a hub for a higher price. I think it's $35 or so.

This is what I bought. YoLink. I have the hub in the house and put a temp sensor in the barn.

I do have one issue in that I only get intermittant readings, usually when the furnace kicks on or the alarm sensor goes off. I figure the metal barn, that is also insulated, is maybe blocking the wifi signal. Does that sound likely and is a signal booster worth a try?

I've tried moving the temp sensor and tried moving the wifi and hub in the house where it is only 40 ft from the barn so I don't think it is the distance. On the other hand, how could I get those intermittent readings but not continuous readings?

But i have overall 20 separate sensors made up of leak detectors, temp sensors, switches for tractor and truck preheats, etc spread throughout property. I have been told the devices link together to help spread signal. The wifes temp sensor in greenhouse and potting shed are encased in steel buildings, and have no issues. The switch for my diesel truck preheat is in a steel building over 350’ from the hub. Works great.

Any chance I could have a bad sensor? When I first plugged it in, it ran continuous but then started acting odd with only intermittent transmitting

Might be, contact them . I had a bad hub about 3 months after i bought mine, they replaced it free. That was 3 years ago.
