Do photos count as links?

I tried to post a question and sought to include pictures relevant to the question. Although my permissions say I'm eligible to post, I received an error message stating I could not include links.
Any guidance appreciated

Are you uploading them directly to the forum or trying to link them from somewhere such as photobucket?

I couldn't find the section in forum rules but I think new members must have at least 5 or 6 posts before they are allowed to upload pics or attach a link. It was changed to cut down on spammer members that were attaching unwanted links in their first post.

Thanks for the replies, it did serve to clarify.


UPDATE: I did successfully post, however I was wrong about having no links I had typed in the vendor of a manual I purchased with the "www." preceding and
the software saw this as a link. I still don't know if it considered my photo attachments as a link:confused3:
