Saw a post about another type of tractor that triggered a thought I have been wondering for some time. On my DK it has a forward/N /reverse shifter. Is this a the "shuttle Shifter" I read about?

So if I am doing bucket work and shifting between them (F/R) do I need to use the clutch? I honestly have never tried it. I've always clutched it.

Same thing for the 1-4 gears, l/m/h range? Can all those be changed "on the fly"?

A very quick search shows that it is a synchronization dry clutch shuttle. So, yes, you come to a stop or near stop, clutch, and shuttle into reverse. It isn't a power shuttle, or so, clutch each time.

Also, clutch to change gears. I "believe" you also have to come to a stop, and then clutch to change ranges (L/M/H).

You might need better advice, as some machines (some kubotas), have a GST, that allows changing gears, 1, 2, 3, 4, without cluthcing.
