From the looks of his picks, I'm thinking it moves it about 1 3/4" to 2" closer. which may not sound like a lot but every bit helps on a CUT.

If you look at this one attached in photo, I would guess that it is at least two or two and half inches further out than what I did. Others brands are even further out.

How did the unit work out for you? I have a Woods 165 on a MF 1250. I often think it would be helpful if it had a quick hitch. Woods does not make one for the 165 since it is so old. I bought mine with the tractor in 1996. Doesn't seem so long ago but now I'm 73 LOL.

How much expereince did you have welding and metal working before you tackled this?
