Diverter Valve troubleshooting

/ Diverter Valve troubleshooting #21
It appears to me the valve that you purchased and had installed is supposed to use one valve and have a choice of operating two different cylinder or circuits. Such as a circuit to raise the loader and another to move the thumb or both at the same time. The diagram does not show a supply for the valve just two cylinders one on either side of the valve. Just curious to wonder if that how they were installed, or if not if the way it is hooked up is causing back pressure.
Personally I would preferr to install a third valve on the loader to operate the thumb and another on the hoe for that thumb.
At one time I was aked to install a manual selector valve on a hoe to operate a thumper. Was told to install it in the line that feed the hoe valve. That did not work as when the valve was changed to operate the thumper if you were slow it would break the hose that fed the valve. Complained to the manufacture and was told it would not work, so installed another section on the hoe valve to run the thumper.

The two lines from a valve go into the ports VE and VR, valve extend and valve retract. then the outputs will go to the ! E&R or the 2 E&R. When the solenoids are de-energized; VE will feed straight thru to 1E and VR will feed straight to 1R;
When BOTH solenoids are energized VE feeds 2E and VR feeds 3R.

To be used as a diverter valve from a tractors remote BOTH solenoids have to be energized at the same time for it to work.

It will perform one function when de-energized and the other when energized.
