Disc

The astute buyer will pay more for a complete disc. I still say there's a pretty good chance that someone will say, for $200 I can scratch up a food plot on my hunting land. Take off that rear gang and put a bunch of weight on it, and it will be functional,

It's cheaper than this ;)

Let us know how your effort at selling it goes.

Remove the back gang, add it on top for weight, and call them spare plates.

Then weld on 2 inch receiver with a removable towbar for a 4 wheeler to pull.

Finally hit it with Red rattle can paint...

Re-list it on Marketplace at $600 as "Custom Food Plot Disc with spare plates for tractor or ATV".

With an hour's worth of work, somebody will give you $500 after some easy negotiation...

Seriously!

I bought a 6 ft disk similar to that about 20 years ago from my JD dealer. It was branded “Agrevere” and I’m pretty sure it was built by Howse Implements. I never liked it as it is too light and any gang adjustment beyond #2 position resulted it the tractor crabbing severely to the left.

The 3-point hitch was the worst thing to ever happen to a disk. Pull type ones work much better. I agree that it’s worth scrap iron price, however you likely could get at least double that if you cut off the extra back gang neatly, to make it look like it was supposed to be that way.

Double gang row 3-point disks work like crap anyhow, and a single row one would be worse yet, however the uninformed buyers wouldn’t know that, and often pay crazy money for any deer “food plot” equipment.

I’ve got a complete one just about like that, and I haven’t used it in about 10 years (mostly because I also have an 8 ft and a 6 ft pull type, one on each property (about 20 miles apart), where I have food plots.

The only time I liked or used the three point one, was when I had another property between those two, and used to transport it over the road with my tractor. I only liked it while transporting on the road, as it never worked very good, when I got it into the ground.

I only keep, it in case a neighbor ever wants me to work some land for them. I don’t have much time for that now but I may, after I retire from my factory day job, in a few more years.
