Designing a bin tipper, sizing hydraulics.

Challange accepted. Will even have a height adjustment so it can go up to 12ft high. How's that?

Or vegetable based oil. Apparently machines on a lot of government projects have to run it. Not clear if its have to, or its just easier to deal with a half-assed cleanup than the borderline hasmat protocols you have to deal with for regular oil.

In our case, it's so that when we are almost done filling a semi trailer with fruit and blow a hydraulic line, we don't have to empty out the whole semi trailer.

Wait don’t forget it’s supposed to tip over. If you wanted a death machine there’s a lot of simpler ways.

Do you release how impractical that is. The op could just buy a second forklift with a bin tipper on it cheaper. But keep on with the prototype drawing.

Here is is. Is rough drawing but works.
The carts themselves can be easily tipped by hand if loaded properly because of weight distribution. You lift the back and then the nose tips down. They pivot off of the bigger solid wheels and use the rounded bar to pivot on.
Top left hand corner shows original tipping bin.

Top right hand shows how you could make it a solid mount on a stand or even possibly adjustable legs for height.

Bottom shows it mounted on a duct hoist used in the HVAC world. Now the one I rough drawed is made to lift 500lb. It uses 4x4 in tubing and jointers that allows it to go up to 12ft by manufacturers recommendation but we have had them almost 18ft safetly. They are operated by a manual winch with ratchet brake. Have never had a single winch brake while in the air on this style. There are bigger jacks that can go over 21ft in the air and are heavier rating or you could make your own.

Both the jacks and the dumping cart are under 36 inches wide regularly to fit inside a normal door.

Didn't know you can buy a forklift and tipping bin for under $1,000 used in operating shape. Please let me know where and I would like to buy some.
