Maybe he could unplug all the hydraulic connections and make sure they are all seated properly in the connectors

Maybe try leaving it outside overnight when it's not snowing. That will at least tell if it a cold issue and not something binding.

He's been gone for the holiday and I won't see him until Friday. I'll see where he's at with it then.
I do remember him telling me it an X something model if that helps.
