Toolguy, I am glad to hear you say that as I think the Kubota dealers thought I was crazy when I said the 3-cyl. felt smoother. I believe the extra features of the B**30 series seem nice and believe the 2630 is what I will end up with. I don't think it makes sense to spring for the 3030 in my case because I won't be able to get a comparable deal. I am getting a pretty good discount on the 2630 that I am quite sure I won't receive on the 3030. The 2630 seems to fall into a tough price point so I think dealer 2 (where I drove it) is trying to get rid of a last year's model and dealer 1 (where I am buying) is willing to match price to keep the business. But in dealer 1's case I am getting a new-in-crate 2630.

We got a foot of snow last night, FEL sure would have been handy this morning!

I've been lanscapping like crazy with my 7800 lately. I'm talking about 4-5" thick jackpines stuck so close together that you can't walk through the brush!!! I lift the loader just above the headlights, put her in low gear and at 2000 rpm (and that is even a bit too high, but the odd tree bogs the engine down so I run it a bit higher :) ) and plow right through that mess. Once the trees are about 45 degrees I then lower the bucket and they pop right out (or break) out of the semi-frozen ground. I really can't see myself ever using full throttle unless I'm running the BH. This thing has power to spare and then some.

I'm sure with the 2630 weighing even more it would be even easier to do but my point is these things are all tanks. Not sure if 4 hp would make a difference in my case but you are really not going to go bad with either one. I do agree with an earlier poster...THE SEAT SUCKS. The back end of it seems to high to get comfortable in and after a few hours it is not comfortable. I'm actually looking into a more comfy one, but aside from that I got zero complaints. Bottom line you can't go wrong with any of these machines.

I looked at the 2630 as well and like timber said I also didn't like the look of it. PC was nice but not usefull to me, all I use is BH, maybe a tiller later on. Telescoping arms would be really nice but here the price difference between the two was 2000$$$ so it was a no brainer for me. If you're getting the same price for both then I would really having trouble deciding, but again you won't go wrong with any of these! :D Good luck!

I bought my tractor last summer when I bought my farm. I think if I was financing I would have bought the hoe as well. I can be kind of old school and wanted to pay cash and have no payments. It sure sounds like your getting a deal. I have never seen a 2630. I want to address the ajustable wheels on the B7800. I did ask the same question at the dealer. The wheels on the B7800 are wider than the ajustments on the 610 & 510. Ajustments would only be made to make it narrower if it were capable. To just have a tractor will change everything for you. I love the B7800 for what I do with it and I am sure you will be happy with either model. Now try to get out of the dealer with out a list of attachments. You will need the toothbar, trust me on this. This is the time you must consder weather you want a Skid Steer tach all too. It is a diferent bucket. ATI makes it for the 402 Loader and you have to buy it through Kubota. Do not let them tell you they do not make one because the do

The 2630 is the exact same tractor as the 3030 except for the engine. I have to say I like the more rugged look of the 7800 but there are some benefits to the "softer" look of the **30 series, like better vision over the hood (especially for my wife who is 5'2") and I believe it has stronger headlights. Taiser, that is is some impressive stuff you are doing with your 7800. In a way, I wish they weren't priced so closely because I would just buy the 7800 and know I got a good deal but the 2630 is an even better deal that looks too good to pass up.

Hear is the thing with visibility. One is no better than the other. The blind spots are in just different places. I think the is an entire tread on this. Old style verses curved loaders. Go with your gut on this LOL I guess we are not making it easy. I remember Taiser deciding on his tractor took about 20 pages in his thread, LOL. We love other peoples money in this group

Either way you go it will just be one more person here I'll be jealous of, well at least until this summer when I have to choose what's more important, more power or more comfort. I did remember reading something about breaking the headlights (or one side) on a 3030 and having to spend a pretty penny to replace the whole thing. On the other hand the 7800 lights looked like something that I would upgrade/ replace, just didn't look like they threw off very much light.

Stretch, I know where you are coming from. I am looking at the exact same options. The wife likes the 7610, but I think I'll put the most wear on the driver's seat. My dealer wants the same price for the 2630 and the 7800. He tells me he has the 7800 and is pushing me that direction. THe 7610 is about $1.4k less, but I think the upgrades that the 2630 has are worth the extra $. I'm pretty much set on pulling the trigger on the 2630 with brush hog and box scraper. I think the position control is the big selling point for me as my property is terraced and I have regular driveway maintenance to deal with.

After readng all these posts I am happy my decsion is behind me and all the angst about what to buy is but a distant memory.

I was going to buy a Kioti CK20/25/30 based on advice from Island Tractor and others but there were no dealers within 200 miles of me. So, then I was going to buy a B7610 (US$14K) but opted for the B7800 (US$16K) because of the larger frame, wider stance, ground clearance, more HP and bigger backhoe capability (when I buy one) over the B7610. I have used use mine mostly for forest work and snow removal.

I sometimes wish that I had gone even larger (L series?) but the B7800 still fits in the garage beside the wife's car and my truck. The wife wouldn't have liked to have her car out in the snow and cold all winter up here in North Ontario :) because my new tractor sure wasn't going to be outdoors!

I am very happy I went with the B7800 and for my needs it's fine. I think you should go with the B2630 at the great deal you are being offered.

You know its kind of funny, Every now and then I find a stone the loader will not lift or a pallet of cement it wont pick up off the back of my pickup and I think well maybe I could have gone bigger. But then It goes in and out of my garage with no problem. I get out in the woods and go around the trees like I was on foot. I was between my pool and the house last week digging post holes and I was thinking how sweet it moved around in that small space. Like Taiser said you get pretty good at knocking small trees and rolling brush. The more I do the more I think of to do. Making the choice can be difficult but after that an you take possession of your Tractor you never look back only forward.

Pulled the trigger today, couldn't pass up the deal on the 2630. I like the look of the 7800 better but once I'm sitting on it I think I will appreciate the features enough to forget about it. Thanks all for you help and I will update you once I take delivery.

Dave

Oh yeah, now I need to decide on RFM and toothbar. I found a good deal on a finish mower locally (Befco), for toothbar it seems like ATI or Markham?
