cartod, Margie keeps hoping for pictures of bears on our cameras, but so far we haven't had any. Those are some cute cubs.

Caught a coyote sneaking down the trail. Pretty good size too.

Thought I'd bump up the critter thread. Caught just with-in 20 mins ago. Though not a critter, I caught this gar out back off bank fishing for bass on canal that runs through property. Not many gar out back for sw/Fla .Caught-em on a rubber worm no weight.

That is a prehistoric looking fishy thing.

Yes Sir they sure are just like some other fish we have around here called the "mudfish or bowfin" !

Up here in North Florida we have plenty of them. They are not much good for anything but fertilizer, but are sure fun to catch. Just don't let one of them get ahold of you. Ouch! We use a wad of raveled nylon sting as a lure.

Couple ducks on my pond. the foreground is a drake woodie. First time I have seen woodies here so I threw up to boxes and now have two sitting hens. Got a camera set up to view the opening so I hope I get some good picks when they leave the nest. had a drake chasing a hen and the hen took off and as she circled the drake flew up at her and grabbed her wing and they both fell into the pond. Pretty interesting behavior, wish I had that on video.

It was a cold nasty day here. But this afternoon the sun did come out. I saw this red rat snake enjoying a few rays. You don't see too many of them around, so it's always a treat to spot one.
