I saw that in the KC paper!
Wow, some criminals--if they'd just take a few moments and review their robbery plan and think through some of the different scenarios that MIGHT make their escape a little safer/faster!
I think one of my favorite stupid criminal deals was the nitwit that backed his pickup up to an ATM, chained the ATM to the bumper, then took off like a bat out of he!!. The ATM held, but his bumper didn't. It came off, along with his TRUCK TAG, remaining at the scene of the crime so officer friendly only had to run the tag to find Mr. STOOPID.

There used to be a TV show about dump criminals that I enjoyed watching.
One time this guy goes to rob a bank. He puts on a mask and tells the teller it's a hold up. He gets the money and leaves. What he didn't realize is that he has on his employee workshirt with the company and his name on it!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
