I know there has been a lot of threads about covering trailers for the winter but I haven't been able to find one specifically for dump trailers...

Does anybody cover there's? Mine was new this year so I'm debating covering it with a tarp. I would get a small car port but there not cheap. The paint on these trailers looks very durable and they seem to be built like tanks so maybe I don't need anything. Can anyone offer advice? Here is a pic...

No suggestions, but that is a nice trailer you got there! I plan on leaving my trailer out in the elements.

Just make sure you have it tilted toward the rear, to prevent rain/melt water from accumulating in the closed foreward end of the trailer

I agree. Use some block of 4x4 to secure it up slightly. Only 5 deg slope or so is all you need or you may be able to even park it on a slope. I am not a fan of covering trailers. It traps in moisture and they rust quicker. Just make sure you grease it up and touch up paint before the layup.

In addition get the tires out of the dirt if its not parked on pavement.

Thanks for the comments! I'll leave it uncovered and make sure to get the tires off the dirt. Eventually when the barn is up, I'll build a lean-to and park it under there.

You can use the 2x2 concrete patio slabs to raise it up off the dirt. Also put covers over the tires to stop the sun from drying them out.

Just got a new dump trailer last week myself. So this was a timely topic. Wondering if it's worth it to purchase some tire covers to keep the UV & weather off them in the off season?

Can not hurt.

I have learned over the yrs that a tarp under is more important then a tarp over. As others have suggested tilt it so water doesn't sit. Covering the tires isn't a bad idea. Stopping moisture from the ground is what I worry about the most a simple tarp layed on the ground does work wonders.
