I do not do TV/cable so some of the links posted today was the first time I saw the pain in the people begging for help. This is much worse than I thought. Locally today we had the 2nd positive testing person so that is not good. Healthcare professionals are very concerned. I am guessing the people behind their doors as they were being welded shut had no means to prevented imprisonment. If New Orleans falls to the virus it is not going to be great for many other southern states.

If we have been snowed about the facts in China the numbers from Italy may be more realistic. I still need to find out what Germany is doing to have such a low death rate.

Two trillion dollars are not going to come close to recovering the losses due to COVID-19.

BTW....EVERYONE HAS AN AGENDA

A couple of things my church has done in the last two weeks have been an ugly wake up call for me. My fiancé is much more forgiving than I, and even she has been shocked. Always follow the $$$$.

What was rather humorous was something our pastor said about 6 months ago..”Beware of those quoting scripture”. Which is exactly what they did do justify their actions.

BTW, this is NOT a comment on religion but a comment on human nature.

I thought I was "escaping urban areas" when I came down to NE Mississippi about 1 Jan on our normal holiday trip. We were going to go back to northern Va at the end of February. But SWMBO decided she'd rather stay here. Virtually no contact with other people and we are stocked up for MONTHS.
But now the Gov of Mississippi TateR has declared most businesses essential, after yesterday basically saying he didn't think there was any worry in Mississippi.
So, our escaping didn't work.

My state took action to �latten the curve 1.5 weeks ago. In another week we will just start to see if that helped. However 2.5 weeks ago there was very little testing. People are alarmed the numbers are still climbing. Of course they are, the results today are still from the spread before action was taken. Hopefully in another week the Rate of increase will start to decrease, but there will still be increase for awhile because it spreads exponentially and there is now more testing. Mild cases however are still not tested.

Mississippi is keeping the testing limited.

The Health Department said Wednesday that Mississippi had at least 377 confirmed cases of the coronavirus as of Tuesday evening. Because testing remains limited, most people now spreading the highly contagious virus may not know that they've been infected.
