I know this is very fundamental, but what's the proper way to fill a cooling system. I just drained all a the old coolant out through the rad. petcock. Now when I fill with new coolant I assume I first fill the rad. all the way, replace the rad cap.
Now at what level do I fill the plastic res.? To the low mark and then start the engine, allow the coolant to expand, then top it off to the high mark?

Just replaced my coolant, too.

When you fill the rad all the way, and start the engine, there will be air pockets in there. So
what happens is on cool-down, the engine sucks in coolant from the overflow tank. You will
need to fill the overflow tank above the High mark and still add some later to get the
right level.

BTW, it seems that the folks who set up my Kioti at the factory used a pretty weak coolant
mix. I wish that I had changed my coolant earlier.
