I noticed a small stain on the barn floor under my 4120 (purchased new this Spring). After some poking around with a light, I have determined that the fluid is coolant (bright green), and that the overflow reservoir shows a level that's about a half inch below the "cold level" line.

I check my guges pretty frequently, and noticed no signs of overheating. The gauge was pretty much exactly where it has always been during operation.

Is it possible that when I last used the tractor I might have shut it down too quickly and there was enough heat build up to force an overflow? At this point I can't say for certain that the "leak" is caused by the overflow, only that the level is down.

My plan was to use the tractor again today and see if I can witness anything that might provide a better clue. Obviously, if this is a symptom of a serious problem, I want to get the dealer involved and take advantage of the warranty. How concerned should I be?

Tinsnip, I found a loose cooling hose clamp on my 4120 last week. Small line just in front of the oil filter.
I was checking the oil before startup and noticed a bit of fluid there. Couple of turns with a screwdriver cleared it up.
You might want to check your hose clamp locations.
Bought the 4120 new in 11/05.

Thanks! Good suggestion. I'm hoping it's something as simple as that.
