Oil & Fuel Cool weather performance.

I went out to do some work today and started my RK24 as normal Glow plug then start, normaly it is pretty smooth while warming up but today it shook and rattled as though it were going to come apart and would not respond to throttle, after thereto five minutes it smoothed out and acted as normal.
weather was sunny about 62 degrees fuel has Howes diesel treat additive mixed for summer, my question is wether this is normal or not.

I know what you're talking about, rattle and shaking. Especially now that the weather is cooler. Find some Cetane boost and you will notice a big difference if you increase the Cetane in your diesel fuel. Aim for 8 points increase. I use AMSOIL Cetane boost and was totally impressed with the first tank that I mixed it in. Way way less rattle on cold start up. AMSOIL Diesel Cetane Boost.

Very much appreciated, being new to tractor ownership I am learning as I go and folks like yourself help a great deal. I will look into the cetane booster you recommended.
