Compression Testing

How do I test compression on an engine with bolt on CAV injectors? Every kit I see seems to thread into the cylinder head.

Is there an adapter or special tool for this type of cylinder head? Or can I take apart an injector and thread the compression tester onto it?

Engine is in a 1980 Case 380CK.

Don't take your injectors apart!!!

Remove injectors and install adaptor. You may be able to hire them in US from NAPA or a diesel shop?

Snap-on has various types for approx $120. eg. Adaptor, Diesel Compression Gauge

The issue might be pulling the injectors. They can be a bugger.

On this engine there is only a cold start assist located on the intake manifold.
