Compact Track Loader, whos the best?

Thanks for that info, I had no idea on the DPF system. My issue with that is that I hate to run engines wide open as I usually don't need that much power and I like to save fuel and wear and tear. The info on that filter is that they like to run warm in order to keep them clean.

Every diesel over 25 hp sold in America and several other countries since approximately 2010 I’m not sure about the exact date has a DPF.

New Holland is one i think we left of the list. They aren't really one of the more common ones, but if you have a dealer close, I wouldn't rule them out. They do appear to average a bit lighter for the same HP; which can be good or bad,View attachment 2207193
Was curious if Case/NH was going to come up. I have a Case TV450. Weighs in at 11,300 with suitcase weights. 90hp machine. I've looked into trading into the new 620B but the thought of having to move around a 16k lb machine has given me pause. 5 years and 700 hours so I don't use it much but has been a solid machine.

That’s a 150k machine and you need a CDL to move. I’d keep my current CTL and buy a 953 Cat before I bought one of those.

Not true, they simply have to meet Tier IV emissions requirements. My 2019 NH Workmaster 75 uses DOC/EGR technology, not DPF. No regens, not even a mention of emissions operations in the operator's manual. Other tractor manufacturers such as I believe Mahindra and Massey do the same.

I had not thought about case, I will take a look, but I don't need a big one over 10,000 LBS. Thanks for the info!

I've been very happy with it after 5 years of ownership. Controls are very tight and responsive. I'm not sure why Case does not come up more often. Maybe just a very low market share compared to the others? My previous Case was the TR340. Bought used and had it for 2 years before trading into a new TV450. So far good luck with both machines and price point was right compared to others.

For a smaller Case the TR270 comes in at 74 hp and around 8,200 lbs just fyi.

Thanks, I will look at it and glad to hear you have good luck with yours.

Dang, I didn't realize just how much the upper power machines had crept up. $147,031. Yes, it's AC and Heat, and 114hp, but its also 16,100 lbs, and it comes with just a bucket, although it includes teeth...

I have approximately the same amount in all 3 of these machines combined as what that is. I don’t see how those big machines that cost double what a smaller CTL cost is economical. To make matters worse as far as most of the public is concerned all skid steers are the same. If a 75 is worth $100 an hour good luck getting $200 for the big ones.

In 2007-8 I was making $75/hr with a Cat-257 class machine, and honestly, just getting by. At the time, New, they were like $45k. Now, if i could have had it working 30 hrs per week, i would have been doing pretty well, but it was half side hustle, half start up...
