Went to get picture of zerks...

Lol. Someone felt that under the boom was a secure location to raise a family.
You can see the bottom two at the base off the hydraulic calendar. Two more at the top:

Took zerk pictures on the V417. Top of cylinders:

Bottom, the zerks are on the other side:

Can be reached through this opening:

The back arrow points to the zerk for the leveling cylinder, the one for the lift cylinder is behind the hose where the front arrow is pointing:

Used the 6' landscape rake to get rid of old hay on the dirt.
This is from last year with round bales in the back of the barn:

This is what I raked out:

Raked and ready for this years round bales:

8, 5x6 bales, two rows of 3 and two on top of the first row.

They are setting on upside down 4x4 plastic pallets so air can circulate under the bale.

I'd get it just so you don't walk under loads. I actually saw one fail once. Right after a fellow walked under it. I mean right after. He walked under two full pallets of can soft drinks. It fell without hesitation or delay.

He probably clicked into the 1st page where someone is deciding whether or not to buy a compact telehandler.
I think you are right. From the first page:
The other issue with most skid steers, is we often work alone. This requires getting out of the cab with the lift in the air. Never liked walking under anything lifted. (If the skid had failed the load would have landed on the planter but there are times when I have no choice.)

With the V417 boom up, using the side door is safer.
