Sharing more pictures.

This big oak has had less live branches every year. Hear is a picture from five years ago:
----------------------------------------
This year it didn't have any leaves on it anywhere:
---------------------------------------------

Put the stump bucket on the V417, raised the boom to 45 degrees and put the stump bucket against the trunk:

Got in the cab (FOPS), extended the boom about six inches and saw the crack in the ground:
--------------------------------------------------
Reached in and extended some more:
-------------------------------------

Roots are dead, it is going over easy:

That's crazy that you could push over a tree that big with a piece of equipment that size. Thanks for the pics.

Rob
Should have commented back when this was posted. The reason is the hydraulic cylinder that extends the boom.

Even at idle it has enough power to slide the heavy V417 backwards, if what it is pushing on doesn't move:

does anyone know:
1. does the v417 have a case drain?

2. 22 gpm stated flow-is that the flow to the aux, or the hydraulics specs of the machine?

3. is it a tandem pump or singular pump?

thanks for the help! im trying to see if an implement is compatible.

3. is it a tandem pump or singular pump?
Look it up here: Bobcat Genuine Parts Catalog – Official Bobcat Company site

thanks for the help! im trying to see if an implement is compatible.

There are workarounds for no case drain, but I have never needed it.

I guess nobody has had to replace the windshield.

We need an update on yours and did you get a mower for it?

v417.jpg

it arrived last weekend! i only had time to put 6-7 hours on it. started clearing off my old burn pile-went places i would never go with my tractor! inclines, ditches, over stuff that would have rolled my tractor-love this machine. the only attachment i have so far is the 72" bucket it came with, with bolt on cutting edge.

i purchased a quick attach 72" brush buster, should be delivered first week of november. Loflin Fab grapple, stump bucket, and pallet forks coming also-super nice folks. right now, work is getting in the way form getting projects done

did my picture come thru? if not, maybe someone could provide guidance. thanks!

I finally got a roundtuit and took pictures to show how small it is.

Lined up the front with my wife's 2016 Ram 2500:

This shot shows how much shorter the V417 is:

And this shows that the V417 is not as tall as the Ram:

Ive put about 40 hours on her so far. Dont see me going back to tractor
She’s developed a problem...
When i let off brake, she goes like she”s pointed toward the barn. Usu, when i let off the brake, the parking break kicks in to stop her. All fluids are adequate...any ideas?

Does it move normally when operating it?

Is it completely stopped and idling before you let off the brake?

Shift to neutral, let off the brake pedal, do the RPMs increase??

I rarely step on the brake pedal when driving, because letting off the accelerator applies the brakes at idle.

There is only one set of brakes even though there is a switch and a light on the dash labeled Park.

First, thank you for the timely response!!!
Ok, we are all friends here, right? I hesitate to reveal my mistake, but goes to show me how, when in a hurry, the obvious gets overlooked
I had found these posts in a field and put them in the cab, and as you can see, one was jammed at the accelerator pedal...eye roll please...i deserve it
Did i say how much fun this machine is?
next project is getting getting front/rear cameras

Well - those are the kind of fixes we all want to find! Easy.

Those are great machines.

Yep, the post about the post makes me feel better about the machine. (y)

That may be the easiest fix that you will ever do!

I'll tell ya, these tele handlers beat a tractors versatility hands down. Now if you could only take them in dense woods and use them to skid logs, it'll be a life long crush for me.

Since the compact telehandlers are smaller and have four wheel steering, they will go in the dense woods where a tractor can't go.

Yep, with 4 wheel steering, even my big Lull can maneuver lots more readily than my Mahindra.

It's shorter too.

I guess my first concern was ground clearance.
How would one go about lifting and walking a hitch of stems out of the woods with such a conveyance?

Or I'm I asking too much of this magical machine?
