These machines are though things. We have a Bobcat T2566 (European version of V518) from 2009. Difference between V518 and our T2566 is colorscheme, the boom has 3 foot more lift height and a bit more lifting power. Doesn't have any problems with spending some winter months dragging itself through mud, completely bottomed, to get to some secondary silage pits. Almost always connected to a feeding bucket ( +/- 3000 pounds empty weight, when filled that bucket exceeds the Bobcat's rated lifting capacity (rated capacity is always half the tipping weight, atleast that's how it works here in Europe) but doesn't matter to it. Like stated before in this thread, these telehandlers are made to also handle ground engaging items. Lifting front or rear wheels of the ground without issues. Ours has nearly ran 4000 hours and still going strong. The body and boom on these is much sturdier than I have seen on any other brand. Couple of pictures:

They really are amazing GADA machines.

GADA = Go Anywhere Do Anything.

Yeah, don't know why that happened. I'm new to this forum (have been reading it but never signed up) so must have made a mistake there:laughing:

No problem, it happens sometimes.

I posted them because sometimes those links don't work and people don't bother to click them.

This heavy duty 6K 12' tilt trailer gets used for a lot of things:

I backed it onto the scales at the co-op many years ago and hooked to the truck the empty weight on the scale was 1660 pounds. Today I decided to find out the total weight.

Zeroed the weight of the chains:

Hooked the chains to the D ring tie downs and lifted:

Now I know how much it weighs.

That's a stout little trailer!

My 18' dual axle car hauler only weighs 1500#.

Yep, all metal, no wood. And so nice to use with no ramps:

The wind broke the top off an old hollow trunk oak tree:

A job for the six tine Gorilla Grapple:

Picked it up by the broken limb:

Twisted it to break it loose:

Got it clamped so I can get through the narrow driveway to the burn pile:

Made it to the burn pile:

Went back and got the rest of the tree top:

Backed it out to the driveway:

Repositioned pointing forward and clamped with the single lid: :D

I have posted several times that the V417 is much more stable for loader work than a tractor because the front axle is fixed to the frame and the rear axle pivots.

Here is a picture that shows the axle pivoted against the frame stop and the right wheel is off of the ground:

PA160030.JPG

Took some pictures today that show the articulation better. Backed up the ramp until the axle hit the frame stop:

PA110001.JPG

PA110003.JPG

Turned around and drove up the ramp until the rear axle hit the frame stop and the trailer slid forward a little:

Measured the body lean to be 15 degrees.

Are you going to bid on it?

Since the auction link will not work sometime in the future, here is a snip for future info seekers so they know what it was:

And some downloaded pictures of the V417 to be auctioned:

It sure looks weird to me with that little skid steer bucket.

Here is mine with the Versahandler 1 cubic yard bucket:

As I only put about 30 hours a year now with my excavator, I've no time or means to acquire more large equipment.

I've beefed my L39 such that it has carried 3,000 lbs rocks, and is pound for pound, every bit as strong as an yellow painted hoe.

I do not realize how strong the L39 is except for when I operate someone else's tractor.

This mostly dead tree was on the back of the dam last month:

P9110004.JPG

Put the grapple against the trunk, got out and took the picture:

P9110006.JPG

Reached in and extended the boom:

P9110010.JPG

P9110012.JPG

Picked it up and shook the dirt from the roots:

P9110016.JPG

That caused the top to break off:

P9110019.JPG

Moved the trunk to where I could put the top on it:

P9110022.JPG

Picked up the top and dropped it on the trunk:

P9110026.JPG

P9110028.JPG

Picked them up and went to the burn pile:

Mission accomplished.

That really is the ultimate machine for building perfect burn piles with that long reach.
