Interested, but would appreciate input, especially those who know this brand and/or Tecumseh snow king engine

i had a track drive nothing but trouble.Hard of friction plates

The Honda ones are OK but the one you show is not well regarded.

One problem is non lubrication of track sprockets plus general light weight design.
Basically a throw away design made for price market aka; big box stores.

Honda, Ariens, Toro are the better made blowers.

I bought Dad one of these several years back in MTD red.. Then of course, it promptly quit snowing here for several years.:laughing: We then finally had some snow and he was able to use it. The friction plate fell out from under it. He put it back together using LocTite. He then used it a few times. Now that he isn't able to do outside stuff, I went to get it out of his shed a few weeks back. The friction plate is off again. I've bought a new nut for the friction plate and some High Strength LocTite. I'm going to try to put it back together if I ever get the time. After sitting for 2 or 3 years, I plugged the electric starter in and that Tecumseh engine fired right up and ran smooth and no smoke or anything. I will say one thing about these tracked machines. When they stay together, they pull go much better than a wheel snowblower - plus they have turning ability. Now the key to that sentence is - WHEN THEY STAY TOGETHER.

The YardMachines with the track drive is better than others such as Murray and Craftsman made by Murray as YardMachines has the "power steering" where the Murray has no power steering, making it a bull to move & turn. As far as Tecumseh engines goes, they were used on 85% of snowblowers (SNOWKING) and were a good reliable engine when properly maintained. Parts are still avaiable for them, but some parts may be hard to find now that Tecumseh is no longer making engines.
