Colored hydraulic line caps?

Hi all, my 410 FEL has colored caps on the hydraulic lines, and I'd like to get some for the tractor side so it's easier to hookup without mixing them up. Where can I pick some of these up, I haven't checked with the dealer, but I did do a search on Ebay without much luck.

The dealer should have them. That is where I bought mine.
I don't think they are a commonly used item, but more a Deere thing. Could be wrong.
eBay might work as well, but good to know the dealer price first.

There isn't a decal on the tractor next to the four fittings with color coding? Look at the JD online parts catalog to see if there is a decal availble for your model. That should be a $1 item, so therefore expect to pay about $5. Otherwise, you can order the four different colored rubber plugs/caps on a tether.

Here is another cheap alternative. I have some small colored zip ties. I wrapped a couple of each color - one on the metal part of the line and one just behind the coupler. This way I always get my 3rd SVC connected correctly to the MMM for raising and lowering the deck (up on the handle to raise). Just an idea.

I could not see the color coded label til I changed the oil the first time, it is buried underneath so far it can't be seen with the hood down and side panel on---check it out on yours

I'm curious what they cost at your dealer down there. Im in the middle of a TNT project and my dealer quoted me $36.00 EACH! I laughed....Still looking online for some. Good luck Alaskanjdeere

Yikes, $36 each !!! I like the idea of the zip ties. I'll probably be at TSC this weekend so I'll check them out and then see which way I'll go.

When I added the rear remotes to my 4110, I bought the caps from JD, I think they were only $2.00 or $3.00 a piece for them IIRC.
This is the POST that shows the install, are these the caps you are looking for?

Here are the JD part #'s from JDParts.com:
M85099 CAP (BLACK)
M132031 CAP (YELLOW)
M132032 CAP (SILVER)
M132034 CAP (GREEN)

Yeah, it is probably a good idea to look up parts yourself on JDParts before getiing the info from the dealer. if they are out to gouge you, you'll catch it.

Those caps are easily shiped. I am sure that a dealer would be happy to mail them to you, or one of the tbners could do the same. Sad thing is that most parts are too heavy and then you get to be gouged.

Thanks for the part #'s I know now that the dealer was looking up the wrong parts,He kept saying "I can't see how to choose the color they all have the same part #" I'll call them back and get the right price. Are the part #s for the male or female end? Thanks Alaskanjdeere

The parts #'s I quoted are for the tractor side, they are male. I have also ordered the caps for the hose side, and they were reasonable also.

You should register at JDParts so you can look up stuff yourself.
For the males, look up your tractor model #, then select the alphabetized list, go to the D's, the select the DSCV. The schematic will show at the right, and the part #'s will be at the bottom.

Good luck...
For the females, look up your FEL model #, then look for hydraulics...

I always add the parts to a shopping cart, it will give you prices there, and print it out to take to the dealer, so if they try to charge me more than JDParts I raise heck and get the better price

Thanks for the #'s. I actually went to the JD site last night and was able to find all the part #'s. When I tried to buy them they were unavailable (only shows the dealer here and one in Washington for my choices) so I'll call Monday and get a price and hopefully order them. I believe the dealer was looking at the wrong part# I was telling him they came in different colors and he couldn't see that.One of the caps come in Export Black Do you happen to know what that is? They list the colors as Black,Red Yellow,Green and Export Black I don't know what the last one is. I'll find out tomorrow Shawn

At tractor supply they sell red, orange, blue, and green hyd caps.. both for the m ale and female side of the QD's. I got a set of green ones to go on my mower qd's to keep them clean.

The TSC's by my home (two) only carry the caps and plugs for large hydraulic connectors. I guess, the type used for hi-flo and cat II applications. Seems strange, as most of the customers around here are the 'estate' type, and use smaller equipment like my TC30.
