Do those tree's even have any roots? My BH wishes it had the power to push down trees. I have to push them with the front loader.

Nice video. I prefer to take down trees with the hoe as well.

Pines are nice since the roots are shallow. When I take down a hardwood, I have to dig a trench all the way around the tree before I can push it over.

That grapple is real nice too. I don't have one so I usually pick up the tree with the hoe and cut it into lengths that I can move with the hoe.

The 1st tree I tried to stump was a black walnut, you would'nt be able to
take one of those down with the Backhoe. Even a 4 foot trunk has 2 inch roots already, plus a 1 inch tapp root...:eek:

Black walnuts are tougher. I have done about 20 or so. Not real big ones and it was in some pretty good soil. I did trench 2 sides first so it kinda hinges.
