Where do I begin.....
Momma never had to force me to eat broccoli. I LOVE the stuff any way it's fixed. I started growing it years ago. Thought myself to be the self-proclaimed broccoli King.

We had an unusually warm March. This years crop got a quick start. Then 2 weeks of hard freeze in mid April knocked it back. I THOUGH it was going to be a wash. Boy was I ever wrong! Best crop ever!

I've got 48 plants altogether. Just walked in with the first 7 heads. The rest will be done in the next few days. I believe we'll have a freezer full this year!

Me, too. And yours does look good.

Mmmm...broccoli. Can't wait but our broccoli are still seedlings. Should have started earlier but last year when we started earlier all the seedlings rotted in the beds from all the spring rains.

Boy that looks nice. It's so warm here, my plants keep going to flower. I've gotten a few heads but none that size. Mine are about 2 or 3 inches across.

That's what's happening to my second planting. They're about 2" to 3" and done. Probably cut 'em all down tomorrow. It's a hot one here today. We've been watering tomatoes for the last hour. Everything is showing signs of stress. Even the trees are dry. WAY too early for this part of the country. We usually have a hard time getting 3 or 4 dry days in a row. It's rained 2 times in the entire month of May.

How's my garden?

My neighbor gave us a drip irrigation system a few years ago. My daughter and I decided to install it last week. It has rained every day since we installed it!

We only have tomatos and peppers in so far. Will plant some peas, beans, watermelon and pumpkins soon.

Great looking broccoli. Didn't get to plant a garden this year due to moving to a new house. New house has more land but also many more animals that will get into the garden. Just seeing that broccoli makes me jealous of the garden.
