We have two Kubota RTV 900's with 4 way hydraulic Curtis snowplows. I came home from plowing for the city to find one of the plows my wife uses hanging off the front of the machine by just the chain, I took a look at it and found it cracked on both sides at the front of what I call the A frame, I figured she must have hit something pretty hard, until I looked at the other rtv Curtis plow and found it had a hair line crack on both sides, but had not yet completely broken. It appears to be a weak spot, it is hollow and made out of box steel all the way till this point where they cracked. I have added some pictures so you can check yours. I know the welds are far from perfect but it did the job to get us through the storm.

How old are you plows? That looks like a real weak spot. Thanks for the tip.
They were both purchased with the machines, 1 is 6 years old and the other is 4 years old. Both have been good plows especially after making them hydraulic, however they will be getting replaced in the spring with the Boss V Plow.

I had my "A" frame let go this winter as well. I had found cracks in the two weak spots about two years ago and had it spot welded but it only lasted a season and a half. My son-in-law had it welded again and it has held the rest of the season. Before having it welded - which I didn't think would work - I was panicking and ordered two new "A" frames. I really didn't want to buy two but I ended up with two anyway - one from Curtis and another from a Kawasaki dealer. They each cost about $350 each. If you're interested I'll sell one to you for $300.
