French???? AGCO is headquartered in Duluth Ga. With a large part of their production based in Italy. Which French company?


I think some wires are crossed...... I wonder if he is thinking of GIMA, the transmission plant which is a joint venture between Renault & MF? It is in Beauvais, France, which is where the 5400/6400/7400/8400 and probably the 8600 series is built.

I bought a Challenger at an auction about 6 mos ago. Before that it was part of a rental fleet. Mine is a MT 297. 55 hp w/ FEL. It's a good solid machine.

I have a Challenger MT265B (currently 300 hrs) and it works great. Prior to I had a MT255 (300 hours). The upgrade was made to have the hoe. It was also nice to have the larger machine and more power. The tractor works as well as any other brand of the same size. I have not had any major problems with either machine.
