For $12 to $13 can you go wrong? The last carb I bought was off ebay for my 357xp. It wasn't the original brand but has worked just fine for years now. For the price I would just replace it vs rebuild it. Of course with ethanol being a way of life and it seams to find it's way into every gas tank I own carbs just don't last very long.
Well I thought an update was in order on my Sthil 025 that wouldn't rev and keep running..
I found a carb with gasket for $15 on Amazon. Also got a new fuel line and filter for a total about $25. Did a free trial of Amazon Prime and got free shipping. So yesterday I gathered all the parts and the disassembled saw. After watching a video on youtube about how to replace the fuel line I got it all assembled and added fresh fuel. Two-three pulls on full choke it burped, one pull on half choke and it started and ran. I warmed it up made a cut and adjusted the high screw. And it's running like new.
Early Merry Christmas to me. It's like having an old friend back.
