Chainsaw for Self Defense

/ Chainsaw for Self Defense #21
My concealed saw of choice is a little electric unit with a short bar... much easier to hide under a coat.

I would use my little 16" bar 40V Greenworks saw.
Instant start!
Somewhat difficult to conceal.
Keep it by the front door instead.

I think just starting it up would do the trick. Nobody needs to get hurt.

^^^^
Just like racking the slide on a 12 gauge...

A chainsaw for self-defense would never work at my house, mostly because I use a Husqvarna 562 XP.

I not so affectionally call it my, "Forever Crank."

Not only would it fail to start when I need it most...which is like...every time I want to start it, hence its moniker. But the sad part is, I would be so out of breath trying to get that saw to start, that I could not chase the burglar off afterwards.

The best I could do was just hand the thing over to him in hopes that it would appease him, instead of taking anything else in the house that actually had some value!

That's some high quality Stihl humor right there.

Personally I would prefer a nail gun over the saw

I would prefer a 12 gauge over the nail gun but...

I knew a woman years ago who kept a nail gun in her car, stating that she didn't need to worry about concealed weapons laws that way.
