Price Check Case DX31

I have a chance to upgrade from my IH 340 to a 2008 Case DX31 with FEL. Primarily I use the 340 for mowing and tilling. The DX will have a FEL, so it would make my snow removal much easier! I live in NC Montana, and this year has been big for snow. The DX has 131 hours, and they are asking $16,000. Thoughts?

I will probably keep the 340 for sentimental reasons.

I have a DX33 which is essentially the same tractor. Absolutely love it. For snow removal, I suggest some sort of back blade or an actual snow blade for the front of the FEL. Mine has about 700 hours on it and all seems to be well. (had one or two things to iron out when I got it) Just keep up on the maintenance (as with anything mechanized) and it should last years for you.


I'm running a 14" moldboard plow, 7' disc, 60" 3pt mower, 6' box blade, and FEL. Everything works great. I'm mowing about 2 acres with it and with the FEL on, the manueverability is wonderful. Taking the FEL off takes about 3 minutes and putting it back on, about the same time.
